Arabic Language - * A NEW 12 WEEK COURSE!

Teacher: Sheikh Suleiman Kibuka

This course is suitable for those who are interested in learning Arabic but lack the basic reading & writing skills and vocabulary. Students learn the basics of the language including the numbers, gender and greetings, while introducing some basic elements of Arabic writing. The students will be introduced to the elementary guidelines for reading, writing and pronunciations and letter formations.

Modern Standard Arabic - 12 Week Course

Teacher: Dr Salman Al Saad

The course is aimed at complete beginners and is designed over 3 terms (one level per term) to enable learners to communicate in Modern Arabic within a range of everyday situations using the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The course introduces the students to the Arabic alphabet and enables them to read and write basic words and sentences.

Modern Standard Arabic is the recognized means of formal spoken and written communication. It is used throughout the Arabic speaking world on official occasions, in education and the media....

Qur'anic Arabic - 12 Week Course

Teacher: Dr Salman Al Saad

The course aims to familiarize students with the basic structures of Qur'anic Arabic and to help the students in the comprehension of the language of the Qur'an. Emphasis is placed on reading and writing skills.

Students must have the ability to read and write in basic Arabic

The course is taught in English and Arabic and covers the four skills using contemporary printed and audio material. However, reading and writing skills are emphasized to make this unique text accessible to learners. The approach adopted in teaching is grammar based. Class size is limited to fifteen to make learning as interactive as possible.

The aim of the course is to learn lessons from Tawheed through Fiqh Al Akhlaq. To help a Muslim better understand the importance of the supplication: 'I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my Deen and Muhamad as my Messenger'. It covers essential knowledge of the principles of Tawheed - Islamic Monotheism.

Youth Project (Hikmah)

The Islamic Cultural Centre have launched an educational initiative for the youth called the Hikmah Project. This project has started with a range of youth & GCSE revision classes.

These Free classes are held on Friday evenings and are open to the whole community youth to attend.
