Hikmah Youth Project

The Hikmah project, our Youth Club, has been running for the fourth year since its inception in April 2013. It continues to provide youth with the opportunity to explore their full potential in different aspects as they are considered the heart of the community and the fabrics of future development. The project has benefited a wide range of youth from local and surrounding areas. The Educational aspect of the programme is managed by a team of volunteers who have offered invaluable materials to help children develop key academic and social skills, necessary for responsible and effective participation in the community. The project continues to attract interest from far and wide, and with sufficient funding the benefit can go a long way in enabling the youth to utilise their free time effectively.

As a result, new programmes and educational activities have been planned for this year to raise students' educational attainment and interpersonal social skills. Volunteers also view the Hikmah project as an opportunity for them to give something back to the community, and with more specialist teachers discovering this opportunity; the project has the potential to make a positive impact on the lives of many youngsters and the community at large.

83 boys and girls attended the club this year and benefited from the activities we offered. The turnout of both parents and students was very good and their feedback was positive. We look forward to add more activities such as organising weekend programmes bringing the Muslim youth together for a full day of indoor and outdoor recreational activities.

The Hikmah Youth Project is held every Friday evening from 6.30pm in the Library Hall during term time.
