His Excellency Matthew Barzun, Ambassador of the United States of America to the United Kingdom visited the Islamic Cultural Centre on Monday 25 April 2016. Ambassador Barzun said that he was visiting The Islamic Cultural Centre not only in his official capacity but also as a neighbour dropping in as his residence is close by. Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan - Director General welcomed His Excellency to the Centre and explained all the positive work which the Centre was engaged in with the wider community through educational programs, community events and interfaith dialogue to name a few, he was presented with some of the publications from the centre including the Islamic Quarterly. An Interactive Youth Discussion Forum based on the 'Domestic and Foreign Policy of the United States of America' then took place in the conference hall with over 120 attendees including the King Fahad Academy in Acton. |
| Ambassador Barzun also gave a presentation and held a Question and Answer session, the attendees said it was a very educational and engaging event which they thoroughly enjoyed, they found it to be a very successful event and hoped there would be more similar events in the future. | |
