The Charity Commission in Partnership with The Islamic Cultural Centre - London launch Certified Training Event titled "Managing your Charity Lawfully & Effectively"
The Charity Commission, the regulator of charities in England and Wales in partnership with The Islamic Cultural Centre, conducted a full day workshop for faith organisations on Tuesday 6 December 2016.
There was over 125 Faith Organisation leaders and representatives from accross England who attended the course.
Dr Ahmad al Dubayan - Director General thanked The Charity Commission for working in partnership with the Islamic Cultural Centre on such an important topic and also welcomed all the attendees and stressed the necessity to make sure all Charitable institutions are managed and conducted in a lawfull and fiduciary manner to help faith communities prosper and build stronger relations with the whole of society.
The purpose of the event was:
To give guidance to faith charities on their responsibilities under charity law; and
To equip faith charity trustees, staff and volunteers with the skills and confidence to ensure their charities are well run, protected from abuse, and transparent; and
To give guidance to faith institutions on when and how to apply to register as a charity.
