Course Summary: This course is suitable for those who are interested in learning Arabic but lack the basic reading & writing skills and vocabulary. Students learn the basics of the language including numbers, gender and greetings while introducing some basic elements of Arabic writing. The students will be introduced to the elementary guidelines for reading, writing and pronunciations and letter formations. The course follows the recommended text to allow easy reference and practice between sessions. Student may however need to buy some resources and key reading materials as advised by the course instructor in addition to notes taken during lesson.
Course Syllabus: The syllabus for this level includes the following themes:

1. Cognitive learning the of the 28 Arabic alphabets.
2. Writing the Arabic alphabets
3. Joining letters.
4. Vocalisation of letters
5. The rule of the six unique 'letters'.
6. The concept of 'Sukoon', and 'Shaddah' 'Maddah'.
7. The concept of 'sun' and 'Moon' letters.
8. Writing and reading 'Hamzatul fasl'.
9. Spelling dictation.
10. Learn over 300 words.
11. The concept 'Tanween'.
12. 'Alif maqsoorah' and 'alif Mamdoodah'.
13. Demonstrative pronouns.
14. Learn to introduce oneself.
