Labour Party politicians, Shadow Cabinet Members, Members of Parliament, Councillors, parliamentary candidates and supporters came together for to celebrate Eid ul Adha at Labour Party Head Quarters.
Hundreds of guests gathered at the annual event, hosted by the first MP of Islamic faith, Sadiq Khan MP, the Shadow Justice Secretary, Lord Chancellor and Shadow Minister for London.
A Speech was given by Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Harriet Harman MP, General Secretary of the Labour Party Iain Mc Nicol, Feltham and Heston MP Seema Malhotra, Chair of Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Labour.
Sadiq Khan MP said "The Muslim community makes an enormous contribution to British society, in every area of life, in businesses, charities and public service. That is why it is so important to the Labour Party to celebrate this contribution, especially during Eid."
Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan, Director General of the Islamic Cultural Centre said "The Muslim Community contributes to political, social, cultural and economic growth within the United Kingdom and adds to the richness of London's cultural diverse societies. We are all very happy to be celebrating Eid today and also reflecting on the importance of working with leaders of governance to make society a safer and better place."
