Gain essential skills and certification in Arabic Language

How to master Arabic Language skills and gain certification for it? Find out with our four courses; starting with Pre-Level One, specifically designed to take the learners progressively towards reading, understanding, writing and speaking Arabic with a wealth of exciting contents and learning experiences. You will benefit from a professional accreditation by OCN London for Level one. After completion of the Pre-Level 1 short course, you will be able to advance to level 1. Upon completing level 1 and achieving the OCN certificate, you can progress to level 2 followed by level 3 and obtain transcripts of your achievement from OCN. The courses do not have single written examinations at the end, but does offer a variety of assessment methods throughout your learning period.

Courses we offer:

1 - Pre-Level One Short Course:

For this level, learners do not need any learning pre-requisites in Arabic skills, as this level is designed for complete beginners.

You will learn:

  • The full authenticity of the Arabic alphabet.
  • How to correctly read each letter with the accurate pronunciation.
  • How to read and pronounce the letter when it is present in the beginning, middle and end of a word.
  • How letters from the Arabic alphabet are demonstrated in sentences.
  • Short and long Arabic vowels.
  • Personal introductions and greetings.
  • By the end of this six-week preparation course, you will have memorised the whole Arabic alphabet, make polite requests and ask simple questions; bringing you a step closer to learning the unique Arabic language.
Duration: 6 Weeks, 2 hours per week

2 - Level One:

This level aims to prepare the student to acquire the skills of the Arabic tongue, through the following steps:

  • Evaluating the pronunciation first, and accustom the student to the correct listening of the Arabic voices, and distinguish between text and a drawing.
  • Give the student the ability to convert spoken voices into written letters and the written letters to voices (reading, writing and speaking activities).
  • Read and write letters in abstract or within short syllables, words and sentences.
  • Reading some short and simplified sentences related to the axes of reading and expression.
  • Representing and expressing dialogue texts from daily communication contexts and scenarios.
  • Acquire an initial linguistic balance, and use it to express the basic meanings that the student will need in their daily life.

3 - Arabic dialect speakers' short course

This course is specifically catered towards students from an Arab family background, who were born in the West but did not get the chance to attend supplementary Arabic Schools or were taught in an ad hoc way that has not given them a proficient grasp of the language through reading and writing, despite being able to speak Arabic in the dialect specific to their country of origin.

This course aims to help students develop their skills in writing and reading in Arabic to the level that is necessary to understand, converse and write in standard Arabic.

Duration: 8 Weeks, 2 hours per week
Fee: £150
