Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan visits ICC

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Shaikhraziev Vasil Gayazovich visited The Islamic Cultural Centre on Sunday 25 November 2018.
Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan, ICC staff and members from the Tartar community welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister to the Centre.
The Deputy Prime Minister was given a guided tour of the Centre and a presentation on the Centre and its services.
Dr Dubayan welcomed the Deputy Prime Minster and spoke about the services provided to the Tartar community within the UK. ICC also held a Tartar dictation competition which was very successful.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that there are 10 million Tartars in the world of which 5.3 million are living in Russia. The Population of Tataristan is 3.9M He mentioned that there are around 1400 mosques operating in Tartaristan.
He said that "the ICC delivers an excellent service with outstanding work, we would like to see a similar version in Tartarstan as the ICC, as the Centre is not just about prayer it is about finding peace and community values also..
..ICC is practical and visual and an established centre and we are greatful for all your work"
He went on to say "I am very happy to meet Dr Dubayan and the ICC centre, You are An example for all the Islamic world and I wish you all success in all your work and with big respect and kind regards on behalf of the tartar communities."
He thanked everyone and closed by saying "I would like to thank you once again for supporting the Tartar community in the UK and look forward to working with you in this coming year to further the work by bringing the Tartar community together and help preserve the Tartar language."
