Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis: Cressida Dick visited the London Central Mosque

Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis: Cressida Dick CBE, QPM visited the London Central Mosque & The Islamic Cultural Centre on Wednesday 16 August 2017. She was welcomed by senior staff members at the Centre. Mr Feizal Muttur conveyed The Director General Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan's regards for the meeting and apologised for not being there in person due to an emergency. Mr Muttur gave a presentation on The Centre and the services and activities which it provides to the Community and its impact on the wider society.
Mr Ayaz Zuberi emphasized the importance of building strong relations between the Metropolitan Police and the Centre to protect the wider society from all forms of crime and how working together we can help remove bad elements from society in order to protect and safeguard those who are vulnerable to crime in any form which it may manifest.
Furqan Khan spoke on the strong relationship built over the many years where the local police have made sure worshippors stay safe during the Friday prayers and on the day of Eid.
The Commissioner was presented with an award and taken on a guided tour of the Centre and it was agreed to work on projects together in the future.
Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis: Cressida Dick CBE, QPM is a British senior police officer, currently the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police in London. She is the first woman to take charge of the service, being selected for the role in February 2017 and taking office on 10 April 2017
