H.E. Mr Abdul Wahid Maktub visited The London Central Mosque Trust and the Islamic Cultural Centre on Wednesday 22 November 2017 during his visit to London.

Dr Ahmad Al Dubayan, Director General of The Islamic Cultural Centre welcomed His Excellency and the delegation on behalf of the Islamic Cultural Centre. Mr Feizal Muttur Head of Administration also gave a presentation which was followed by a guided tour of the Centre. The meeting included discussions regarding supporting the Indonesian communities in the United Kingdom through the Centre and working to promote Indonesian culture and positive contributions to the wider society.



Previously, H.E. Mr Maktub had served as Indonesian Ambassador in Qatar and Indonesian Consul General in Jeddah. He was also the founder of the National Awakening Party together with late President of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid.

The Delegation included:

3. Mr Thomas Sireger - Minister Counsellor for Public Diplomacy, Press & Socio-Cultural Affairs, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in London

4. Maulana Najmudin - Education and Culture Attache, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in London

The visit is to obtain relevant information in maintaining religious harmony and to formulate strategy curriculum in education in Indonesia.
