AMMALE (Alliance of Mosques, Associations and Muslim Leaders in Europe) launches a unified initiative against anti-Muslim hatred in Europe at the Grand Mosque in Paris, France.

Dr. Faid Saeed Imam & Secretary General for the Commission of Fatwa and Sharia Affairs at London Central Mosque participated in the dialogue symposium organised by AMMALE Coordination Council (Alliance of Mosques, Associations and Muslim Leaders in Europe) entitled "The Hopes and Challenges of European Muslims" in Paris on Friday, April 19, 2024.

In his capacity as Deputy Secretary-General of the Council. Dr. Faid spoke. Fayed spoke about the Islam and Britain. He spoke about the rise in Islamophobia during the recent period and called on British Muslims to participate positively in public life and promote a greater cohesive and peaceful society.

The AMMALE Coordination Council (Alliance of Mosques, Associations and Muslim Leaders in Europe) brought together, on Friday April 19, 2024, the community at the Grand Mosque of Paris for a day dedicated to the fight against hatred and discrimination against Muslims in Europe.

During a morning press conference hosted by its members, AMMALE underlined the importance of coordinating actions on a European scale to counter hatred and all forms of discrimination directed against Muslims. Particular emphasis was placed on promoting the values of moderate Islam, and to counter an extremist narrative which causes radicalisation.

The members of the alliance also encouraged Muslims in Europe to fully embrace their European citizenship, to which they are deeply attached. Faced with the rise of the far right in Europe, AMMALE calls for massive participation of Muslims in the European elections, scheduled for June 6 to 9, 2024, to counter this worrying rise.

The afternoon was marked by an interactive seminar bringing together speakers from seven European countries. Discussions focused on the challenges and hopes of Muslims in Europe facing the threats of populist extremism and radical Islamism.

The AMMALE Coordination Council is an independent structure based in Paris. Since its creation in October 2023, it has been committed to bringing together European Muslim institutions and leaders in order to promote the authentic message of Islam, adapted to all places and times while respecting its universal values, and ensures to protect the dignity of Muslims in Europe.
