World Arabic Day Celebration Event 2023 in partnership with WAMY
The conference held in the library conference Hall at the Islamic Cultural centre on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st December from 10 am to 4 pm.
First day 30th December: Teacher training
After a recitation from the Holy Qura'n and introducing the programme by Mr Ahmed Limam; Dr Ahmad AlDubayan the Director General of the ICC opened the conference thanking The ICO and WAMY for their support and participation in the event, then he explains the importance of arranging this conference then Dr Mounir Alhumaid gave a short talk on behalf of the international curricula, then Dr Saleh Alwuhaibi gave a short talk on behalf of WAMY
The training was split into the following topics:
The investment of artificial intelligence application in educational activities to teach the Arabic language to non-native speakers, delivered by Dr Beshir Labidi from Al-Mutammim institute in France
The effect of the progressive approach of in implicitly teaching the rules of grammar and morphology to non-Arabic speakers in Europe, delivered by the international expert Dr Mohamed Mutlaq from Danmark.
A presentation about "Learn Arabic" series of the International Curricula Foundation, presented by Mr. Mohammed Hamed Yousef, Director of the Foundation's Office in the UK.
A lecture titled: How to make teaching Arabic a source of income? Presentation by Dr. Munir bin Khaled Al Hamid, Professor of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Arabic Language Processing - University of Birmingham.
Second day 31st December 2023:
Lecture entitled "The global dimension of Arabic language and future aspirations": Delivered by Dr. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Dubayan, Director General of the ICC.
Over 100 attendees benefited from the 2-day conference.
